Places and markers
A pin marks a point; a region marks an area. Both can link to a concept, so you can open a place's description straight from the map.
Place The Crown
With The Crown's concept and a map created, open Cartography, select your map, and switch to Interactive.
- Choose Concept pins from the tool dock.
- Search for The Crown in Search concepts and notes.
- Choose the existing concept, then click the map to place it.
- Drag the pin to adjust its position.
Use the link while writing
Open the pin's preview to inspect its linked concept, then follow it for the full description. Return to the map's tab to carry on drawing.
The pin controls let you change its colour and marker style. Deleting the marker removes this placement, while leaving the concept in your project.
Mark an area
Create a concept for The shattered Terrain. On the Interactive layer:
- Choose Regions.
- Click at least three boundary points, then click the starting point again to close the shape.
- In Assign Region, select the concept and a colour.
- Choose Save Region.
A region's controls can also create an image for its concept. Refresh that image after changing the drawing if you want the reference image to match.
Keep connections deliberate
Drawing a city inside a region places it visually. To record membership or ownership, add a relationship as well.
If a marker seems to be missing, check the selected map and its visibility controls. If search finds nothing, check the name and current project before creating another concept.
