Bara, creator of Writality

Actually a pretty cool project I discovered recently. Although I have not used it much I think it is a valid other option.

They have many things already sorted. Maps, wiki-style organisation, visual connections, and collaboration. Many of these already exist in Writality so I am sure if you like vvd you will also like Writality. It also looks smoooooth.

TLDR;

When to choose Writality or vvd

vvdYou want maps, a custom wiki, and real-time collaboration around your world.Actually a pretty cool project I discovered recently. Although I have not used it much I think it is a valid other option.

Why I built Writality anyway

I want writing to be free. Unfortunately, while vvd has a free tier, it is not a free product. There is also a different vision that can really only be fully understood by trying both.

Where Writality may fit you better

  • Writers who want worldbuilding beside the manuscript with focus on manuscript rather than wiki
  • People who want to write to publish. Think novels.
  • People who want a free offline desktop app
