The industry standard I guess?
Been there for ages, I remember wanting it as a child. A lot of serious writers have used it and it still holds up. It also solved problems that the likes of Google Docs and Word have ignored. I do not look at it as a bad option at all.
TLDR;
| Tool | Choose it when | Our view |
|---|---|---|
| Writality | Writers who want a more modern feel | Free, offline writing with worldbuilding beside the manuscript. |
| Scrivener | You want an established long-form writing workflow with a binder, corkboard, and compilation. | The industry standard I guess? |
Why I built Writality anyway
What I wanted was something lighter, more modern in feel, and easier to bring that joy of seeing your world grow. It is a writing tool, but I feel it falls short on the worldbuilding aspect. I want it all! And it should be free!
Where Writality may fit you better
